One of the take-out moments for the tech-loving me at the Holden Collision Forum was the video on the headlight technology incorporated in some of the latest GM offerings. While the video is built on the Opel Insignia, here in Australia, it’s the all new Commodore and these lights are fitted as standard on Calais V and VXR. They each have 32 individual prisms and while the MY17 Astra hatch has these lights also, these only have 16 prisms in each. Only 16!
I have over many years used the development and improvement in headlight technology as one of the key factors in selecting my cars given the amount of driving in every possible type of weather and time of day or night.
