In this month’s edition, I was speaking to Graham Judge about his new venture as director of Collision Safety Consultants and the matter of VIN replacements came up following the article our last edition of acceptable practice on the Holden Colorado
submitted by Damian Cahill.
Graham had seen a Facebook post by a repairer who was having difficulty lifting the foil backed Vin labels on a Camry and had commented about the legality, cost and potential value of the vehicle post repair based on re-attaching or replacing the VIN label as indicated by an assessor. This prompted Graham to approach Canberra for comment. The letters place more perspective on the matter for repairers. You can read Graham's letter
here and the reply from Canberra
I attended Autocare 2018 and was pleased to see a number of our Preferred Suppliers interacting with trade visitors between the various training sessions, discussion forums and conferences held on the Friday and Saturday. See some of the images from the event below including Lowbake's amazing mobile spray booth - an impressive and unique Australian addition to an any collision expo!
