After Hours Emergencies - What to do if disaster strikes outside business hours

After Hours Emergencies

Capricorn Risk Services is your one-stop risk solution offering Capricorn Members the protections available from Capricorn Mutual Limited and a wide range of products from the general insurance market.

As a specialist in the motor trades industry, Capricorn Risk Services understands your needs and challenges and our dedicated team will assist in finding a solution for your business. A benefit for Members protected by a Mutual Protection product is After Hours Emergency Assistance.

Unfortunately, accidents and emergencies happen at the most inconvenient time, outside business hours or on weekends and holidays. To ensure Members have access to specialist claims advice at any time of the day or night, 365 days a year, Capricorn Mutual maintains an after-hour’s claim service called After Hours Emergency Assistance which can be accessed by calling 1800 007 022. In the event of an emergency, staff can provide advice and where necessary, authorise emergency repairs.
Often a common sense approach applies.

Note the time, date and location along with the names, addresses and registration numbers of all vehicles involved.

Take photos of the damage and accident scene if possible.

Make notes about the events leading up to and including the accident.

If the vehicle cannot be driven have it taken to a nearby repairer.

Some useful numbers to keep handy are:

132 500 – State Emergency Services (national phone number for properties significantly damaged by a major weather event.)

13 22 34 – Novus Auto Glass (nationwide service for all automotive glass.)
