More than 500 Members, Preferred Suppliers and Capricorn team members came together in Cefalù, Sicily, in June for Convention 2026 - a week dedicated to connection, learning and celebration.
Set against the stunning Sicilian coastline, Convention provided a unique opportunity for attendees to step away from the day-to-day, strengthen relationships and spend time with fellow members of the Capricorn community. Throughout the week, old friendships were renewed, new connections were formed and valuable conversations took place between Members, Preferred Suppliers and Capricorn people from across Australia and New Zealand.
A key feature of Convention 2026 was the opportunity for attendees to connect both professionally and personally. The program included a series of networking events, hosted functions and social gatherings designed to bring people together in a relaxed and memorable setting. From the Welcome Dinner and themed evening receptions through to the Gala Dinner and After Party, each event offered opportunities to strengthen relationships and celebrate the people who make up our community.
Attendees also gained valuable insights through the Convention training and keynote program. Dr Richard Hopkins, former Head of Operations for the Red Bull Formula One Team, shared lessons on leadership, resilience, innovation and high performance, providing practical takeaways that attendees could apply within their own businesses.
Beyond the formal program, many attendees embraced the opportunity to experience Sicily through a range of optional tours and activities. From food and wine experiences and historical tours to coastal adventures and cultural excursions, Convention offered plenty of opportunities to explore the region while spending time with fellow attendees.
While Convention 2026 may be over, the relationships, conversations and memories created throughout the week continue long after everyone has returned home. As a member-owned cooperative, creating opportunities for our community to come together remains an important part of what makes Capricorn unique.
