Dress for your day
‘Dress for your day’ allows employees to choose the appropriate attire for each workday based on their tasks for that day. Our work is not one-size-fits-all, and we do not have to look that way either. The bottom-line is we want employees to be comfortable at work. If you are in the field you are provided a uniform to wear that makes you identifiable as a Capricorn representative when visiting Member premises.
Paid parental leave
Capricorn have an employer funded paid parental leave scheme providing 12 weeks of leave to the primary caregiver, and two weeks paid leave to the secondary care giver. This is in addition to the government paid parental leave scheme.
Capricorn recognises that providing employees with flexibility in how they work is beneficial. Capricorn employees can request to work from home or work flexible hours to support their work/life balance.
Early access to long service leave
All Australian team members at Capricorn can apply to take their accrued long service leave at seven years of service – for most states that’s three years early.
To support with work life balance, all permanent team members can apply to purchase an additional two weeks of annual leave each financial year.
‘Cappreciate’ is our recognition platform that we use to reward and recognise each other by sending e-Cards and awarding points when someone goes above and beyond. Employees can spend their points in the Cappreciate shop on thousands of different products and services.
At Capricorn we love to keep our team members happy and healthy! To support this, we offer a wide range of wellness activities including onsite personal training, provision of fruit and breakfast, in-house massages, cooking demonstrations, smoothie mornings, gym discounts, flu shots and fun run sponsorships.
The social committee is run by the staff for the staff. The social committee organise, promote, and run a wide range of fun and engaging social event including CapOlympics, quiz nights, sundowners, Melbourne Cup, BBQs, and cultural celebrations. We also have regular morning teas and quarterly updates - both with lots of food, of course!
Learning and development
Capricorn believes in investing in our team members and supporting their development. Our learning and development team manage a generous program offering a variety of training benefits, including financial study assistance.
Income protection insurance
All permanent team members receive salary continuance insurance for free, covering up to 75% of their salary, until the age of 65, if they are unable to work from injury or illness.
Capricorn's group travel insurance policy covers all permanent team members for their own personal travel! The policy covers up to 28 days per trip for international travel and 14 days per trip domestically, at no cost to the employee.
Employee assistance program
Capricorn is committed to the health and wellbeing of all employees. We actively aim to ensure all employees are provided with adequate support and services to assist in dealing with personal and business challenges. To do this, Capricorn provides employees and their families with a 24/7 confidential and professional counselling service.
