Bradley Gannon
Group Chief Executive Officer
B.Comm, LLB (Hons), GradDipACG, GAICD (OM), FGIA, FCG, FAIM
Bradley is Group Chief Executive Officer of Capricorn Society. Prior to his appointment in January 2025, he was CEO of the cooperative’s Automotive division for 5 years.
Bradley was appointed as Company Secretary/General Counsel to Capricorn Society Limited in 2008 and his roles at Capricorn have included management of Capricorn group’s company secretariat, legal and shares function, risk management, compliance and internal audit frameworks as well as Capricorn’s Group Marketing function.
Bradley has been admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of WA and High Court of Australia. Bradley has a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (with a major in General Management), both from the University of Western Australia.
Bradley has held senior positions including being a Partner with the Perth based law firm Solomon Brothers and his background has involved the provision of advice and services relating to corporate governance and contractual management.
Bradley has passed the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Course Diploma requirements achieving Order of Merit status. He has also successfully completed the Chartered Secretaries Australia Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance receiving awards for National Dux Corporate Accountability, State Dux for Corporate Governance and Corporate Financial Management and the Ian Falconer Rio Tinto National award for academic excellence.
Bradley has also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Bradley is a current Director of various Capricorn subsidiary Boards and Repairify Australia, WA State Councillor of the Governance Institute of Australia and Independent Director of the Western Rock Lobster Council.

Andrew Zadow
Chief Executive Officer Trade

Andrew is Chief Executive Officer Trade of Capricorn Society. Andrew is accountable for the leadership and overall profitability of Capricorn's Trade Division which operates in all parts of Australia and New Zealand. His role includes developing and driving short, medium and long-term growth initiatives, new product development, Member and supplier services and expansion into new markets. His accountabilities also include Capricorn Financial services, credit management, share registry, events and Capricorn Travel.
Since joining Capricorn 4 years ago, Andrew has led the transformation of our lending business through process improvement, technology transformation and product enhancement.
Andrew has had continuous improvement, sales and product roles including executive management roles at Bankwest, where he focused on customer strategy and process, business segments and served as product owner for digital technology solutions. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Agribusiness with First Class Honours and Diploma of Financial Services as well as certification in Agile Product ownership and as a LEAN 6 Sigma champion.

Damon de Nooyer
Group Chief Financial Officer

Damon joined Capricorn as Group Chief Financial Officer in December 2023 and leads the Finance, Risk Advisory and Internal Audit functions for the Capricorn Group.
Damon has over 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance and over 10 years senior executive experience providing strategic leadership in finance, human resources, business services and administration functions. Damon has extensive experience in financial services, including insurance and investment functions.
Prior to commencing at Capricorn, Damon was the Chief Finance Officer at the Insurance Commission of Western Australia. With assets of over $7.5 billion, the Insurance Commission is one of the largest financial services institutions in Western Australia. Damon was responsible for the Corporate Services Division including the finance, human resources and business services functions. Damon also provided secretarial support to the Audit and Risk Committee and chaired the Strategic Initiatives and IT Governance Steering Committee.
Damon has experience in building a team culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
Before joining the Insurance Commission, Damon held finance roles within the Tasmanian State Government.
Damon holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania. Damon is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant and is a professional member of the Australian HR Institute.

Mary Karborani
Chief Information Officer
BEng, MBA
Mary is a highly accomplished IT leader with a wealth of experience in IT, project management and leading business transformation. Mary has a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Business Administration and is working towards her Doctor’s Degree - Business Administration.
Mary has previously held roles at CBH Group, Dale and Waters, Wesfarmers and Chevron. As the Head of Business Systems at CBH Group, Mary managed complex technology programs and a multi-million dollar portfolio. This included the successful delivery of 53 enterprise-wide projects delivered on time and budget between 2019-2022.
Mary also successfully completed a three-phase enterprise-wide strategy to leverage cloud technologies, modernise legacy systems and consolidate applications yielding a multi-million dollar saving for CBH Group.

Rodney Scanlon
Chief Executive Officer of Capricorn Risk

Rod was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Capricorn Risk Division in May 2023.
As CEO Risk, Rod is accountable for providing strategic guidance, oversight, and leadership for the effective stewardship of the Capricorn Risk Division, achieving the prescribed strategic outcomes and profits, while controlling major functions relating to the operation and administration of the business units through reporting and management. His accountabilities include serving as an executive director providing corporate oversight on Capricorn wholly owned subsidiary companies such as Capricorn Insurance Services (CIS), Capricorn Risk Services (CRS) and Capricorn Mutual Management (CMM). Through the Risk Division, Rod manages the operational and strategic planning for Capricorn Mutual Limited (CML).
Rod has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined Capricorn Risk after a successful 11-year career at Suncorp, where he held a number of senior and executive management roles. This included owning the planning and reporting function for an $8b business – providing a breadth of exposure to the pillars of a very sophisticated General Insurance business.
Rod holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Rod joined Capricorn in December 2021 as Head of Finance where he was responsible for the end-to-end finance function of Capricorn Risk Division, with a key part of the role ensuring the financial performance of the business was well understood by all internal and external stakeholders.

Steve Edgar
Chief Development Officer

Steve is Chief Development Officer at Capricorn Society and responsible for the management of the supply, corporate development and innovation functions of the Capricorn Group.
Steve has a proven track record across 20 years in Senior Executive, General Management and CEO positions leading organisations across diverse international markets and industries. He has demonstrated experience in significantly improving financial performance and growth through corporate development across both service and capital-intensive businesses.
Steve has held senior positions with both public and private organisations, including Wesfarmers, Worleyparsons, Matrix Composites and Engineering and Skill Hire.
Steve has a MBA from the University of Western Australia and Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) from Heriot Watt University, Scotland.

Tracy Newman
Chief People and Experience Officer

Tracy Newman was appointed to the role of Chief People and Experience Officer in February 2025. She is a highly experienced Executive who has performed a variety of roles across People, Culture, Capability, Sales and Marketing functions. Tracy is passionate about strategic leadership and its ability to drive overall organisational engagement, capability and accountability, and has had extensive experience within large and complex businesses both in commercial and for purpose environments. Tracy’s People and Experience team at Capricorn, is responsible for bringing together the whole Capricorn Community, integrating the experience for our people, our Members and our Preferred Suppliers.
Tracy's previous experience includes Executive Manager – People, Culture and Quality at Activ Foundation and Executive Director, People and Culture at Minderoo Foundation/Tattarang.
Prior to these executive roles, Tracy had a successful career in senior roles at Mondelez International (Cadbury and Kraft consumer goods) where she held multiple roles across People and Culture, Commercial, Strategy and Organisational Development. In her time at Mondelez, Tracy led sales transformation initiatives and oversaw key supplier relationships within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Industry.
Tracy has an MBA from Deakin University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Mark Rowe
QLD Director (Chair)

Mark has run his own business for 25 years. Mark has been a Capricorn Member since 1999 and was first elected to the Board in October 2022. Mark is a member of the Capricorn Remuneration and Nomination Committee and the Digital and Transformation Committee. Mark became Chair of the Board in October 2024 and has previously served as a member of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee and Capricorn’s Relationship Committee.
Mark became a Director of Capricorn Mutual Ltd in October 2024.
Mark has previous Board and Committee experience, including being a current Vice President of VASA, a non-profit organisation representing the technicians, professional service centres, suppliers, and original equipment manufacturers of the automotive air conditioning, electrical, and thermal management industry in Australia and New Zealand. Mark is also a member of the Beaudesert Chamber of Commerce.

David Banning
SA/NT Director
David was appointed to the Capricorn Board on 8 April 2025 and is a member of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee.
David brings more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, including significant leadership and governance roles. Since 2006, David has owned and operated two Ultra Tune franchises in Modbury and Golden Grove, overseeing 11 staff and driving operational excellence, workforce development and customer satisfaction.
Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, David held senior service management roles at City Holden, managing multiple sites and teams. He has a strong background in technical training and compliance, complemented by his ongoing pursuit of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
David’s commitment to community is evident through his long-standing involvement in volunteer roles, including as President and Board Member of local clubs such as Ridgehaven Calisthenics and Tea Tree Gully BMX. He has also contributed to national sports bodies like BMX Australia and supported inclusive initiatives through NDIS and local councils.
David developed the “Auto Skills for Life” program to empower youth with practical automotive knowledge, further reflecting his passion for education and industry development.

Donna Vinci
Independent Director

Donna joined the Capricorn Board in 2019 and is a member of Capricorn’s Remuneration and Nomination Committee and Capricorn’s Relationship Committee. Donna also chairs Capricorn’s Digital and Transformation Committee. Donna has previously served as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Donna’s extensive experience in board directorships and executive roles across strategy, business, operations, risk management, governance, data, digital technology and her track record of delivering digital disruption and transformation projects for major financial services organisations globally enables her to play a key role in business transformation as we continue to integrate human and digitisation for our business to create new customer experiences and making a societal impact.
In addition to her directorship at Capricorn, Donna currently serves as a Non-executive Director at Western Sydney Airport, Newcastle Greater Mutual Group, Hunter Water, MS Plus and Oakhill College and is a strategic advisor.
Donna is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, is a Fellow with the Governance Institute of Australia and a graduate in ESG Leadership. Donna was awarded Cisco’s Women in IT, 2019, CIO of the Year Award.

James Candish
NZ Director
James joined the Capricorn Board in 2023 and is a member of Capricorn’s Remuneration and Nomination Committee and the Capricorn Relationship Committee. James previously served as a member of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee for a year from October 2023.
James has been a successful mechanical services business owner in Ashhurst for the last 16 years and is currently the Central West Regional Chair for the MTA. James is also actively serving in roles within his local school Board and Parent Teacher Association.
A passion for industry teaching and apprentice training has driven James to address critical issues in this area through collaboration with local training institutes.

Lydia Stjepanovic

Lydia was elected to the Board in 2021 and is Chair of Capricorn’s Remuneration and Nomination Committee. Lydia also serves on the Digital and Transformation Committee and was previously a member of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee and the Capricorn Relationship Committee. Lydia is also a Director of Capricorn Mutual Ltd.
Lydia is a second-generation automotive services business owner with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Management) from the University of Western Sydney and an Advanced Diploma in Business (Marketing) from Macleay College.
Lydia grew up within the automotive industry as the daughter of an auto electrician. Lydia has been involved with the industry her entire life in one capacity or another.

Mario Pirone

Mario joined the Capricorn Board in July 2014 as an Independent Director. Mario became Chair of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee in October 2023 and has previously served as a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and the Digital and Transformation Committee. Mario also served as Vice Chair to the Board from 2019 to 2022.
Mario is also Director and Chair of the Capricorn Mutual Board.
Mario brings over 26 years of experience as a senior executive and director in large and complex organisations. Mario has enjoyed a lengthy career in the general insurance, funds management, and financial services fields. Mario was formerly CEO of the Guild Group (2009 to 2022), CEO of CGU Insurance (2004-2008), and a Senior Group Executive with Insurance Australia Group (1999-2008). Mario has also held several non-executive directorships over the past 11 years.

Mark Cooper

Mark became a member of Capricorn Society in 1995 and was first elected to the Board in October 2013. Mark was Chair of the Board for five years from 2019 to 2024. Mark is a member of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee and has previously served as a member of the Remuneration and Nomination Committee and Digital and Transformation Committee.
Mark has been involved in the automotive industry for over 40 years and currently owns and operates a number of mechanical service and repair businesses.
Mark has completed a marketing and financing independent business course, a Certificate IV in Small Business Management and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Commercialisation from the University of Tasmania. Mark is a Director of several family-owned companies and currently sits on the Executive Committee of the TACC (Tasmanian Automotive Chamber of Commerce).

Nigel Oborne
WA Director
Nigel has 34 years of automotive industry experience. He has been a Capricorn Member for 26 years and was first elected to the Board in October 2022. Nigel is a member of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee and Capricorn’s Relationship Committee.
Nigel is currently the national representative of AASDN (Australian Automotive Service Dealers Network) and is also a WA representative for the Automotive Repairers Council of Australia.
Nigel has previous committee experience working with the Bosch Service Council of WA, the Australian Bosch Service Dealers Network, and as Chair of the OTRA (On The Road Again Tours charity group).

Samantha (Sam) Martin-Williams

Samantha Martin-Williams (Sam) was first appointed as an Independent Director in October 2024 and is a member of Capricorn’s Audit and Risk Committee and the Capricorn Relationship Committee.
Sam is a professional company director with 30 years of experience across highly regulated finance, infrastructure, resources, education, and technology sectors. Sam currently serves as the current Chair (elect) of NGM Group Australia, one of Australia’s largest customer-owned, multi-branded banks, and Chair at Newcastle Airport Ltd, a Board Director at Fishburners, and a Division Councillor at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Sam provides specialist advice on human capital, emerging technologies, and contemporary governance.
Sam is a former Telstra Businesswoman of the Year, a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Professor of Practice at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
Sam has degrees in Commercial Law, Industrial Relations, and Business, having also completed executive education at MIT Sloan, Harvard Business School, and INSEAD.

Rachel Thomson
Independent Director

Rachel was elected to the Board in February 2023 and started her role as Independent Director in March 2023 and Chair of the Capricorn Mutual’s Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.
Rachel Thomson is an experienced Non-Executive Director and Audit and Risk committee Chair, with international and domestic insurance executive experience at global insurance companies.
Rachel is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Country Fire Authority and Central Highlands Water Region Corporation, as well as holding several positions as an Independent Member of public sector Audit and Risk Committees.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and is a Graduate and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
