For the first time, Capricorn is issuing an interim Trade Rebate to thousands of businesses across Australia and New Zealand

As part of Capricorn’s ongoing commitment to supporting our Members, we’re issuing a one-off interim Trade Rebate of up to $15.7 million to eligible Members, returned as Capricorn Rewards Points based on Member’s Trade Account spend over the past nine months. 

What is the interim Trade Rebate?

A Trade Rebate is one of the ways Capricorn may return value to Members. The Interim Trade Rebate is a discretionary benefit being provided to eligible Members at the determination of the Capricorn Board.  

How does the interim Trade Rebate work?

  • Automatic and easy: There’s nothing you need to do. Capricorn will automatically calculate your rebate based on your eligible Trade Account spend.

  • Proportional to your spend: Your rebate is based on how much you’ve spent using your Capricorn Trade Account between 1 July 2025 and 31 March 2026.

  • Paid as Rewards Points: Your rebate is paid out as additional Rewards Points, which you’ll see on your Capricorn Trade Account May statement (issued in June 2026).

  • Flexible to use when it suits you: There’s no pressure to use your Rewards Points straight away - you can redeem them when it works best for you and your business.

How can you use your interim Trade Rebate Rewards Points?

Your Rewards Points are designed to be flexible, so you can choose what’s most valuable to you:

  • Invest back into your business: Redeem points for tools, workshop equipment or office supplies.
  • Pay off your Trade Account: Use Rewards Points to pay your Trade Account.

Make the most of your Interim Trade Rebate

  • Check your statement: Look for your Rewards Points on your Trade Account May statement (issued in June 2026).

  • Put your Points to work: Redeem your points in a way that best supports your business.

  • Ask for help: If you’re not sure how to use your points, talk to your Area Manager or contact us.

Common questions about the Interim Trade Rebate

Q: Do I need to apply for the Interim Trade Rebate?

A: No. If you’re a Capricorn Member and you actively use your Trade Account, and meet the eligibility criteria, the Rebate will be applied you’re automatically.

Q: How is my Rebate calculated?

A: Your allocation is based on your eligible purchases through your Trade Account relative to total Member purchases between 1 July 2025 and 31 March 2026.

Q: Where do I find my Rewards Points?

A: Your points appear on your Trade Account May statement (issued in June 2026)You can also check your balance anytime through myCAP.

Q: Do my Points expire?

A: Points don’t expire, so you can use them when it suits you. However, please note, while they do not expire, they are subject to the subject to the continuation of Capricorn Rewards and you continuing to be a Capricorn Member.

Q: Does redeeming Points reduce any future Rebate I may be eligible for?

A: No. Redeeming your Points does not affect future rebates. Any Rebates allocated are at the discretion and determination of the Capricorn Board, and are usually calculated based on your spend, not on your redemptions.

Q: Will there be another Trade Rebate this financial year

A: This interim Trade Rebate relates specifically to this period. Any decision regarding a Trade Rebate for the remainder of the 2025/26 financial year will be made following year-end results and remains at the discretion of the Capricorn Board.
